How intellectual-property rights work on Writro — for authors, publishers, and readers.

Author rights

You keep copyright in everything you write. Writro takes only a limited licence to host, display, sell, and distribute your book, and that licence ends when you unpublish or delete it.

You keep the right to publish your book anywhere else, unless you sign a separate agreement with us.

Platform rights

The Writro name, logo, brand marks, product design, code, and copywriting are owned by Writro. You may not copy or reuse them without written permission.

Reader rights

When you buy a book on Writro, you get a personal, non-transferable licence to read it on your account. You may not resell, redistribute, or share the file publicly.

Third-party content in books

If you quote another work, use a photograph, or include an illustration you didn't make, you must have the right to use it. Fair use / fair dealing has limits — when in doubt, get written permission.
